Janet Watson Craddock has been consulting with some of the world's most recognized brands for the past 21 years. Clients have included AT&T, Caymus Vineyards, Apple Computer, the Federal Reserve and UC Berkeley to name just a few. Janet has developed and executed far-reaching programs as corporate spokesperson, strategic media consultant, media and analyst relations advisor, crisis communications counselor and curriculum consultant. She has provided strategic public relations, positioning and media training consulting to managers, directors, vice presidents and senior faculty, on a variety of topics including but not limited to finance, education, telecommunications and crisis situations. She is recognized for being a purist, creating original custom-tailored programs for each client and carries the philosophy of “keeping current” into her teaching. Passionate about education she has been an Adjunct Professor at SSU for 10 years, combining undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Communications with her graduate studies in Multicultural Communications. As a faculty advisor at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, she is responsible for enhancing classroom engagement and developing faculty workshops on current pedagogy. "I love watching the world of communications morph and grow every day. Weaving the newest trends in technology with current critical thinking is an extremely important element of our discipline. It's exciting to be part of this rapidly changing field and it's my goal to encourage classroom engagement that delivers real world experience and lively discussion in the comfort of a college setting." Her MySpeak training provides high school and college students with presentation coaching to successfully transition from the classroom to the workplace.Honored to be a frequent guest speaker on the benefits of volunteering and giving back, Janet encourages youth to get out there and get involved with presentations at NCYLS, Northern California Youth Leadership Seminars. A competitive sports enthusiast and philanthropic volunteer, Janet has successfully completed the Alcatraz Swim and is a veteran volunteer with the San Francisco SPCA for 20 years. She lives in Marin County with husband, daughter and dogs, Lulu and Jackson.
