The class schedule will be published in late February 2014. The dates will be:
Session One (one week) June 23-27

Session Three (one week) July 21-25
The EXCEL for Youth Program offers students entering grades 4-9 a unique opportunity for academic enrichment in accelerated classes that focus on science, technology and the arts.
Courses are held on the Sonoma State University campus, and utilize labs, guest speakers, and field trips. An exciting variety of curriculums are designed to stimulate, challenge, and provide young participants with resources that enhance their learning experience. EXCEL also makes learning fun. The educational opportunities range from performing Shakespeare to solving crimes, exploring chemistry, to designing 3D animation, studying live animals to building large recycled sculpture.
EXCEL's Summer program offers one-week and two-week sessions from late June to late July. Classes are either offered in the morning or the afternoon. For students staying all day, there is a supervised one hour "lunch bunch" at no additional charge; students are supervised at all times.
EXCEL classes are open to students who feel that they can benefit from accelerated coursework, and are mature enough to behave on the University campus. To be officially registered, parents must complete and sign the parent-signature portion of the registration form (including emergency, medical, and liability information forms). All students and parents must also agree to follow EXCEL guidelines.
Summer classes range from approximately $160-$185 for 1-week classes, and $340-$375 for 2-week classes.
