This is my ninth year of teaching full-time in
Hutchins. (Before that I had a somewhat eclectic
career--holding various administrative positions, and
also teaching in the English Department. Hutchins is
better!) My formal "training" is in literature, art
history, music history, languages and linguistics. About
20 years ago, I began to develop an abiding interest in
archetypal psychology; and now, since joining Hutchins, I
find that there is very little in which I cannot become
interested at the drop of a hat. For fun, I love opera,
murder mysteries, and walking in Annadel Park.
My latest venture on behalf of the Hutchins School is
a program
for adult learners who cannot attend
campus classes on a regular basis; instead, we employ
monthly Saturday meetings and weekly on-line seminars.
It's wonderful to be able to make what Hutchins has to
offer available to a whole new audience.
