I have worked in Information Technolgy at SSU since 1984.
Sonoma State
University is located in Rohnert Park, California, 8 miles south of Santa Rosa, and 40 miles north of San Francisco. With the Napa Valley to the
east, the Alexander Valley and Dry Creek Valleys in the north, and the Sonoma
Valley, Sonoma County is in the heart of the original California Wine Country .
The climate in Sonoma County is very mild. For
today's weather see Santa
Rosa weather at www.weather.com. The KPIX
weather page has a regional weather outlook and a photo of current
conditions in San Francisco while the National Weather Service regional
outlook is more thorough.
I saw an
interesting, (to me), walk presented on KRON's Bay Area Backroads. It
inspired us to take our own walk along San Francisco's
Barbary Coast.
We took a trip to
Pt. Reyes Lightouse while Teri's sister Krysta was here for a visit in June
of 1998.
In July of 2003 Teri, Heather, and I made the 4.7 mile hike to Tomales Point on the other (north) end of the peninsula.
In May of 2001 we
took a short trip to Clear Lake.
One of the
reasons I like living here is that I enjoy messing about in
boats and there are lot's of places to
do that in the San Francisco Bay Area. There is usually a lot to do around Silicon Valley North. aka
Telecom Valley.
