RN to BSN PROGRAM
For Registered Nurses with
an Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma, the RN
to BSN curriculum builds upon existing nursing skills with classroom
and clinical courses in community health, research and leadership &
management, culminating with a senior clinical study in an area of the
student's interest.
This option can be completed
in 2 years full-time (2 days per week) or 3 years part-time (1 day per
week).
Entrance Requirements (supplemental
to University's entrance requirements)
30 units of nursing classes
and 30 units of General Education requirements (i.e., Associate's Degree
in Nursing or Nursing Diploma plus 30 units of General Education); 3
units college level chemistry with minimum 2.0; anatomy & physiology
within past 10 years or working clinically as a nurse during last 2
years; California licensure as an RN
The University requires that
transfer students with 56 units or more, have the following GE courses
completed before they can be admitted to the University: English Composition,
Speech, Critical Thinking and the Math requirement (Statistics is required
in the Nursing Department).
This program has not been
impacted the past few years. Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications
and submit their applications on time will be admitted. Up to 40 students
can be admitted each fall.
