A nurse researcher is interested in testing the effect of a special high fiber diet on cardiovascular risk factors (e.g., cholesterol level) in adults with a family history of cardiovascular disease. Describe a design you would recommend for this problem, being careful to indicate what extraneous variables you would need to control and how you would control them.
