Women's and Gender Studies Department
> Academic Program: Double Major

Requirements for the DOUBLE MAJOR in WGS and another campus major

The Women's and Gender Studies major has been constructed to facilitate a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in any other major offered on campus. The double major is designed especially for those students who want to combine graduate study in a more traditional discipline or field with an emphasis on gender issues. It may also be appropriate for those who have a career objective to work for gender equity in a specific field. Students pursuing the double major must declare their majors in both departments, and must have at least 24 units in each major which do not count for the other major. However, a number of courses may be double-counted in both majors. Academic advising must take place in both departments. WGS faculty will only advise for the WGS major.
