Student Leadership in the Center for Community Engagement
There are several opportunities for students to take a more active role in promoting community engagement at Sonoma State University and to receive recognition for their involvement. SERVICE-LEARNING TEACHING ASSISTANTS
Service-Learning Peer Mentors (SLPMs) work with faculty members who teach service-learning sections of UNIV 102. SLPMs receive full training from the CCE in service-learning best practices, including creating reciprocal relationships with community partners, leading orientation and reflective analysis activities as a tool for deeper learning, and risk management best practices. You will receive federal work-study or 3 units. To become a SLPM, contact the CCE (664-3202).
AMERICORPS PROMISE FELLOWS
AmeriCorps Promise Fellows positions are one-year service opportunities through AmeriCorps. AmeriCorps is a national service organization. We have a position available to strengthen our community partnerships with the Roseland Community Schools and Landpaths.
