Closing the Achievement Gap: SSU's Graduation Initiative
The California State University Chancellor's Office has announced its new Graduation Initiative. The initiative focuses on two goals:
- to raise the overall six-year graduation rates of CSU students by 8%, and
- cut in half the existing achievement gap between under-represented CSU students (URMs) and non-underrepresented CSU students (non-URMs).
Each of the 23 campuses has been directed to develop a plan to contribute to achieving these goals.
