FACULTY AFFAIRS

Faculty Affairs is located within the Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs and provides for the human resources needs of the University's academic personnel.

This includes implementation of policies and programs mandated by the California Bargaining Agreement for Unit 3 Faculty and Unit 11 Academic Student Employees; support for faculty recruitment, appointment, reappointment, evaluation, professional development programs, promotion, tenure, and related faculty personnel functions; training for department chairs, RTP committees and faculty hiring committees; and orientation of new faculty. Faculty Affairs also acts as custodian of the official faculty Personnel Action Files.
