INCOME PROTECTION - See Disability Insurance
INDUSTRIAL DISABILITY LEAVE - A benefit available for employees disabled
by injury or illness arising out of and in the course of state employment.
Employees are entitled to this benefit regardless of the length of state
service, and the leave is for a period not to exceed 52 weeks within two
years from the first day of disability.
INJURIES - See Accidents or Sudden Illness
INSURANCE - A number of different programs available to eligible faculty
which provide coverage for health, dental and vision care. The CSU contributes
toward payment of monthly premiums for insurance coverage. Additional
insurance plans available through payroll deduction, which the employee
may be required to contribute to include life, disability, cancer and
automobile insurance, long-term care and dependent care.
INTERIM APPOINTMENTS - Temporary appointments to administrative positions
are designated as "interim" or "acting" and are normally
limited to one year.
