GLOSSARY AND TERMSJJURY DUTY - An obligation of all citizens to participate in legal proceedings as a member of a prospective jury and as members of a jury. In order to make arrangements to cover instruction and other responsibilities, a faculty member is required to notify the department chair and/or dean promptly upon receipt of initial notification for jury duty. The faculty member must notify the appropriate administrator in writing prior to taking leave for jury duty. |
