About Sonoma County Education Real Estate

Sonoma County has 40 school districts and 170 public schools serving more than 73,000 kindergarten through twelfth grade students. Fifty of these schools have been named California Distinguished Schools and six have been recognized as National Blue Ribbon Schools. Student test scores and school rankings are above California averages, while class size is below the average.

For more detailed information about a specific school or district, contact the school district office. District offices can provide School Accountability Report Cards for the schools you're interested in, along with addresses and phone numbers for specific school sites. School Accountability Report Cards include a variety of information about an individual school's student population, student achievement, school programs, and instructional staff. District office staff can also tell you about school boundary lines, student testing within the district, and districtwide policies. For a directory of district offices, look at the Sonoma County Office of Education website. A Directory of Sonoma County Schools is also available for $3 from the Sonoma County Office of Education, (707) 524-2600. When you visit a school site, please always register at the school office and schedule your visit in advance so that teachers, administrators, and support staff are available to answer your questions and/or host your visit to a classroom.
