UNIV102: First Year Experience

Several students look over a project on a computer screen.

This is a three-unit, fall semester, introductory course for first time freshmen. The class is designed to foster a supportive learning community, provide mentoring, enhance academic skills, personal skills (self awareness, responsibility, relationships with others), and provide knowledge about campus resources to facilitate a successful transition from high school to college. Although most sections of Univ 102 are connected to the FIG, MOSAIC and EOP programs, a small number of sections will be available for any student not enrolled any other freshman learning community.

How do I know if Univ 102 is right for me?

If you live off-campus and do not sign-up for any of the other FLC's, you will automatically be enrolled in Univ 102.
