SSU encourages students to have an intercultural experience through their globally focused academic disciplines right on campus. Classroom activities help students understand human similarities and global interdependence. By taking classes and engaging in local, but globally-relevant experiences, the students will have the opportunity to recognize and respect both international and American cultural diversities at home. By interacting with students from diverse local communities, students enhance their lives and the lives of others, helping each to become more globally aware and engaged.
