SSU has received the WASC Commission Action Letter and the WASC Visiting Team Report for the Capacity and Preparatory Review Visit held March 12-14, 2008.

The WASC Commission acted to:

1. Receive the Capacity and Preparatory Review report
2. Continue the accreditation of Sonoma State University
3. Proceed with the scheduled Educational Effectiveness Review visit on October 7-9, 2009.
4. Request that the institution incorporate its response to the issues raised in this action letter and to the major recommendations of the CPR team report into its Educational Effectiveness Review report.

Please continue to visit the SSU Portfolio website for updates and information on the continuing accreditation process. SSU is now in the phase of preparing for the Educational Effectiveness Review (EER). The university's EER report will be developed in the 2008-2009 Academic Year and submitted to WASC in July 2009 in advance of the visit in October 2009.
