- Select text and background colors with high contrast in color and luminosity.

It's very important to use color wisely. In this slide, we see two classic mistakes. If there isn't good contrast between text and background colors, low vision and color blind users will not be able to read the content. If you use color to convey meaning, you must pair that with some other method of communicating that message. People who can discern the red and green will likely understand the red items are Don'ts and the green items are Dos, but readers with color blindness or others who can't perceive the colors won't understand the intended meaning. You also need to be aware of color contrast when selecting a slide design. Choose slide designs with clear and simple graphics and font styles.
