Impacted Major Criteria for First Time Freshmen

Return to Fall 2012 - Spring 2013

First Time Freshmen applying to impacted majors must meet supplemental and/or higher grade point average requirements. Listed below are the requirements for the impacted majors . Grade point averages for these majors are subject to change, so check this page periodically.

If necessary, the following supplemental admission criteria will be used in the consideration of applicants to the university's impacted programs

Fall 2013 - 2014

Major Class Level GPA Specific Course or Equivalent Min. Score
Criminology and Criminal Justice Studies FTF 2.75 Applicants will be ranked according to eligibility index and/or incoming GPA. Subject to department review

Sonoma State University will be hosting three public hearings to address concerns and provide information regarding the recent decision to impact the major for the Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice Studies for the 2013-2014 Academic Year.
