Undergraduate Degree Programs

Undergraduate students may pursue a 40-unit bachelor of arts in anthropology. The BA degree is designed to give students a well-rounded background in the four subfields of anthropology (biological, cultural, archaeological, and linguistic anthropology). There are no prerequisites to declaring a major in anthropology.
Undergraduate students who are earning a degree in another major may pursue a 20-unit minor in anthropology.
Students interested in pursuing a major or minor in anthropology should consult an academic advisor in the department to plan their academic path.
