PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS::GRADUATES
Admissions Guidebook

Once you are admitted to Sonoma State University you will receive a congratulatory letter of acceptance and an assigned SSU student identification number as well as the addresses to some very important websites to visit for further information, one of which is the online Admissions Guidebook.

The Admissions Guidebook is for students who have received a hard copy letter of admission from Sonoma State University, been instructed to send back information needed, and given the Admissions Guidebook url.

You'll be asked to read through every page of the Admissions Guidebook thoroughly, and pay close attention to due dates and deadlines. Each page addresses important questions and answers regarding

  • the required enrollment reservation deposit (ERD)
  • attendance, housing plans, and deadlines
  • financial aid
  • scholarships
  • campus housing license and first payment
  • immunization records
  • orientation
  • transcripts
  • paying fees

Included in the Guidebook is a step-by-step checklist to which you can refer to keep on track!

Note, if you are interested in living on-campus, you will be asked to return the SSU Attendance and Housing Plans Reply form as soon as possible because the postmarked return date will be used to establish your priority on the list for housing. In the past, the demand for campus housing has sometimes exceeded the supply so it is important to reserve a place as soon as you can. You will learn more about this when you read the guidebook thoroughly.
