TRANSFER and TEST CREDIT INFORMATIONCourse to Course Transfer EquivalenceStudents transferring from California Community Colleges and 4-year public institutions may refer to articulation agreements on the ASSIST website www.assist.org to find SSU course equivalencies. ASSIST also provides CSU General Education lists. Important: First Time Freshman (students following the 51-unit GE Pattern) should check with the Office of Admissions and Records regarding GE course equivalencies, as GE rules for First Time Freshman are different from those for Transfer students and may not correspond with Assist.org. Agreements organized by Department contain equivalencies in course prefix order; i.e. all courses that articulate in the BIO prefix, all courses that articulate in the MATH prefix, etc. New articulations agreements are being published on a continual basis in an effort to increase the amount of articulation agreements available to students and schools. Only institutions with agreements will be accessible in ASSIST. Advanced Placement (AP) Credit for ExamsCourse and/or free elective unit credit is based on passing scores received on the exams. Extension of credit is reviewed annually, and occasionally varies from exam year to exam year, as content, exams and Sonoma State University curricula are subject to change.
