Welcome to the Department of Art and Art History at Sonoma State University

For thirty years, California State University Sonoma, Department of Art and Art History has been the hub of visual art on campus and in Sonoma County. As a center of creativity and experimentation, the department provides students with the foundation for a lifetime of visual arts study and presence. Our majors offer in-depth education in technique, concept and history of art.
