Assessing Student Learning at the Program Level 

Developing a Culture of Learning and Evidence

Since the year 2000, the office of Academic Affairs of the Provost, Academic Departments,  and the Educational Policies Committee of the Academic Senate have invested considerable time in establishing assessment of student learning at the program level.

First Stage-Interim Program Review

During the first stage (2000-2003) all departments and academic programs have established the infrastructure for student learning, using a Program Review process, adapted for this pourpose.

Second Stage-Revising Assessment

During a second stage--from 2004 to now-- all departments and programs are engaging in assessment activities, as outlined in their interim program reviews, and are revising their assessment approaches.
