May 2009: Congratulations to Biology masters student Catherine (Cat) Hare who was awarded a Switzer Environmental Fellowship. She is the fifth Switzer fellow from the SSU Department of Biology in the past nine years. More information about the Switzer Foundation can be found here.

November 2008: Biology major and soccer great Ross Middlemiss is named to ESPN The Magazine's Academic All-America First Team. Middlemiss has also been named the CCAA Offensive Player of the Year and the Daktronics West Region Player of the year, following a termendous season that saw him lead the region in scoring with 18 goals and nine assists.

October 2008: Biology alumna Sarah Minnick worked on the remediation of the Giacomini wetlands in Point Reyes Station. Read more here.
