Computer CompetencyPractical Computer Competency Requirement (PCCR) ExaminationAll pre-business majors must demonstrate practical computer competency prior to enrolling in BUS 211 - Managerial Statistics or BUS 230A - Financial Accounting, or any upper-division business core class. Students must demonstrate basic, practical computer competency in the following areas:
Computer competency is demonstrated by successful completion of the Practical Computer Competency Requirement (PCCR) Exam. Students are required to have access to a working email account capable of transmitting the attached files necessary for completion of the PCCR Exam. Questions about the computer competency requirement can be emailed to the Department. Pre-Major CoursesComputer competency, preparatory courses and lower-division core courses together constitute the Pre-major. A letter grade of “C” or better is required in each pre-major course. In addition to demonstrating computer competency, all the following coursework must be completed as part of the Pre-major program: Preparatory Courses (units that are necessary but do not count toward the major)
Lower-Division Business Core (units count in major)
If you have completed the pre-business requirements outlined above, you must submit the Blue Form along with all corresponding unofficial transcripts in order to register for upper-division business classes. Return the Blue Form and the corresponding unofficial transcripts to Stevenson Hall - 2042 as soon as your grades are posted! DO NOT DELAY - you will be unable to register for upper-division classes until this form has been processed. Last modified 07.07.2008 . Tracy Navas |
