Topic: Machine Learning. Speaker: Dr. Shahrad Jamshidi, Data Scientist, Remi Pty, Australia. Machine learning methods have allowed us to create many powerful and practical models from data to develop many new and life changing technologies. Each spring and fall, the Engineering Department at SSU presents a series of colloquia on a wide range of engineering topics and trend of technologies. This is a series designed to benefit the Sonoma State students and faculty in the School of Science and Technology, high tech and biotech industries and related businesses and community in the North Bay Region. The talks are generally very high-level and designed for the general audience. The Engineering Colloquium established in Fall 2006 and it was initially sponsored by former Agilent Technologies (now Keysight Technologies) and local industries. http://web.sonoma.edu/engineering/lecture_series/2019/jamshidi_10032019.pdf
