Social Justice Week: Lectures, Panels, Performances. Sonoma State University will host more than 40 hours of lectures, panels and performances to raise awareness of social justice issues as part of “Social Justice Week”. These lectures are sponsored by various departments on campus and are all free to attend.

  • Jose Javier Hernandez Ayala: Global Warming dangers

    • Time: 10 - 11:30 a.m.

  • Nicole Wolfe: US Drug Policies

    • Time: 12 - 1:30 p.m.

  •   Alicia Jrapko, U.S. Coordinator of the International Committee for Peace: Justice and Dignity and co-chair of the National Network on Cuba

    • What to Expect with U.S./Cuba Relations in the Trump Era, Venezuela-what the US corporate media doesn’t want you to know.

    • Time: 2- 3 p.m.

  • Elliot Currie, A Peculiar Indifference: On Race, Violence, and Social Justice

    • Time: 4- 5:30 p.m.

  •  Mickey Huff, Film and Talk, United States of Distraction: Fighting the Fake News Invasion

    • Time: 7 - 9 p.m.
