Panhellenic Association

Congratulations on your decision to learn more about joining a Panhellenic Association Sorority at Sonoma State University! The Panhellenic Association at SSU (Panhellenic) consists of all pre-initiated & initiated members of our 6 National Panhellenic Conference member organizations and our 1 associate member local sorority. The National Panhellenic Conference (NPC), founded in 1902, is an umbrella organization for 26 inter/national women's fraternities and sororities across the United States and Canada.

The Panhellenic Council at SSU is the governing body of the Panhellenic Association, and consists of an Executive Board, along with senior and junior delegates from all 8 member organizations. Regular meetings of the Panhellenic Council are held every Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in the Sonoma Valley Room.

Each year, the Panhellenic Council conducts a formal recruitment process in the fall, and a few of our organizations recruit members informally during the spring semester when space is available. In addition, our associate members, Kappa Delta Zeta and Lambda Kappa Pi, host a separate process in the fall and spring semesters to grow their organizations.
