Greek Week
Congratulations on your decision to learn more about joining an Interfraternity Council (IFC) chapter at Sonoma State University! Each semester, IFC helps coordinate the Information Night, which is the kick-off to individual recruitment events for all IFC fraternities in the fall and spring. Each fraternity conducts their own recruitment events separately, and locations/times vary by organization. In addition, each fraternity has their own requirements for joining. Make sure to meet all of our groups to learn more about who they are and what they are all about.

Fall 2012 Formal Recruitment Dates

This is your opportunity to get information on SSU's eight (8) IFC fraternities. Each chapter will show a video about their organization and have materials for upcoming recruitment activities and events.

Each chapter hosts their own events during the this time period to get to know potential members better and for the potential members to learn more about the chapter and its members. Chapters typically host dinners, fun outings, and pick up sports games during these two weeks.

There is to be no alcohol at any of these events, even if attendees are over 21. Any recruitment events where alcohol is present should be reported immediately to the Director of CSLIS, Heather Howard Martin, and IFC President, Aaron Zavala.

Bid Night is an invitation only event for those members who are being asked to join one of SSU's IFC fraternities. It is a formal event that marks the beginning of becoming a member of Fraternity & Sorority Life at Sonoma State University. Guests of new members are invited to attend.
