About Alpha Xi Delta

Now a national fraternity with more than 130,000 initiated members, Alpha Xi Delta is known for being a progressive and forward-thinking organization whose vision is to help women to realize their potential. Alpha Xi Delta was founded in 1893 by ten women at Lombard College, Galesburg, Illinois, who shared a vision of an organization dedicated to the personal growth of women.

The ladies of the Theta Beta chapter here at Sonoma State enjoy upholding the
values of their founders, as well as keeping up an active social life that includes,
mixers (themed events with the fraternities), formals every semester, and participation in all the greek philanthropy events. Not to mention, spending time
with eachother. Their sisterhoods range from sleepovers and dinner dates,
to all day trips together at the zoo, beach, marine world, and shopping on the
downtown streets of San Francisco.

Philanthropies

Alpha Xi Delta supports our national philanthropy Choose Children. This is a very broad topic that enables our sorority to work with children in any way possible. We now have our annual signature event, Volleyball Tournament. We also do an annual Blood Drive, as well other community services.
