Sexual Assault Awareness
Discussion of definition of Consent and legal definitions of Rape, done in small groups. Skit* to bring out typical issues that come up with sexual encounters and how assumptions can end in sexual assault. Discussion and question/answer follows. Prevention tips and information on on- and off-campus victim support resources.
Responsible Alcohol Use
Encourages responsible alcohol use. Students view a 23-minute video, followed by small group and whole group discussion. Covers the definition of high-risk drinking, its consequences on both drinkers and those around them, date rape drugs, and on- and off-campus resources for help with alcohol issues. Please arrange for a VCR.
Safer Sex, AIDS/STDs
This presentation is an informative discussion about safer sex. There is a quick overview of the most common STDs. Followed there is an interactive game about STDs and AIDS. There is then an interactive discussion of ways to have safer sex. Finally there is hand-outs passed out and discussed regarding healthy ways to communicate with your partner as well as on campus resources. |
