Anyone currently affiliated with Sonoma State University (Students, Faculty/Staff, Emeritus/Retirees, Alumni & Alumni Association Members, etc.) is eligible for a membership. If not affiliated with the University, potential members may be “sponsored” by a current member and allowed to purchase a membership. Please see our policies page [link] for a more complete breakdown of membership eligibility categories.

Memberships may be purchased for a full calendar year, the duration of a semester, or for the summer session. There are also Daily Passes, 24-Hour Passes (so you can come back the next day as long as it’s within 24-hours of purchasing the pass), and 10-Punch Passes available. For prices please check here [link to “Fees & Schedule” page].

The first week of each semester, Campus Rec is open to all “Eligible Members” free of charge. The operations staff will still be checking for memberships however, and to take advantage of this offer you will still need to check in with them and sign a waiver. If you aren’t sure if you would be eligible for a membership, please check our policies page [link to “Policies & Procedures” page].

Sorry, there are no “guest passes” currently aside from the $9.00 Daily Passes. If you are an SSU Faculty or Staff Member however, please be sure to check out our Free Faculty & Staff Fridays offers [link to FFS Days page]

Sorry! This only applies to students who graduated between December 2002 and December 2004. Those students who graduated before the opening of Campus Recreation, but paid the 2002-2003 fees will be granted a one-year free alumni membership to the Rec Center. To claim your one-year free alumni membership, alumni need to bring proof of graduation. This can include a copy of your diploma, transcripts, or a print out from People Soft, showing the year that you graduated and your degree. Alumni participants have ten years to claim their free membership, making it only redeemable until December 2014.

You can locate the most up-to-date information by visiting our Campus Rec Hours of Operation page.

The least busy times at the Rec Center are typically between 6:00am and 12:00pm, and again from 10:00pm to closing.

The Campus Rec pool is located beside the Main Gymnasium and Field House on the Eastern side of campus, near the Tennis Courts and Parking Lot G. Campus Rec Swim’s hours are from 12pm to 2pm daily. For more information on Campus Rec Swim please visit here [link to CR pool page].

The front desk is where most program information is located - the staff at the desk and the building supervisors on staff can assist you with program information and sign ups.

Lockers are available for checkout at the Front Desk. Day use lockers are available for free – you just need to ask the staff at the front desk and they will log your information – just be sure to drop the key off at the front desk again on your way out! There are also semester lockers available for overnight storage at a rate of $3.00 per week ($45.00 per semester.)

Sorry but parking is NOT included with a Campus Rec membership. For information on parking permits and services, please visit here [link to SSU Police and Parking Services – Parking Permits].
