The Equestrian Team's first horse show of the season was (Oct16/17). The first day was an English show and the second day was western.

For the English show on Saturday our team brought home our first ever team award. We won Reserve High Point Team! How does that work? ...

When a team member places in their class/division they earn a certain number of points depending on the placing (1st= 7 points, 2nd= 5 points, 3rd= 4 points...and so on). At each show the teams choose one rider per class/division to represent their team and those points earned not only go towards their personal total but the points also get added in to the team total for the day. The award we earned means that of all of the teams represented at the show our team's combined total from individual placings was the second highests...just under Cal Poly SLO. We beat teams like Stanford and UC Davis.

And we got a ribbon!

FAQs

What is a Sports Club?

Sports Clubs provide an alternative to University Sports and intramurals. Basically, find a group of people who love the same sport that you do and play! You can be as competitive or as non-competitive as YOU choose. Everything is student-run, so it's really all up to you!

How do I start a Sports Club?

Come to the Rec Center and ask for Mike, Meghan or Genna. We will set you up with everything you need to know to get on your way! It's easy, it's fun, and it's free!
