Choose a Major
When choosing a major it is important you have a genuine interest in what you are studying. It will help you be more motivated to go to class and not change majors later.

- Read the course descriptions in Sonoma State General Catalog
- Speak with faculty in the Various Departments you are considering
- Attend the “Majors Presentations” during the fall and spring semester
- Participate in Student Organizations that interest you

- Think about what you might want to do each winter break or summer
- Look for activities related to Employment, Service, Internship, and/or research opportunities
