Red the Color of War: Paintings from a Vietnam War Veteran by Daniel T. Lopez
The Center for Culture, Gender & Sexuality (CCGS) of the Sonoma Student Union Corporation, is proud to present, “Red the Color of War: Paintings from a Vietnam War Veteran,” by Daniel T. Lopez.
In his latest series of paintings artist, Daniel T. Lopez, brings us a vivid look at the horrible cost of war through the eyes of a Vietnam War veteran. Lopez’s use of vibrant colors and attention to detail capture those who have seen his work. The series will be up through November 21, 2007 in the CCGS Gallery, located in the Sonoma Student Union. A reception with the artist will be held on Wednesday, October 10th in the CCGS Gallery from noon to 1:30 p.m.

Daniel T. Lopez is an Adjunct Professor Chicano Studies (1978 – present) at Sonoma State University. He received his Masters in Art and Education from the University of Southern California (1971). His works have been displayed at numerous venues: Combat War Art, Smithsonian (1968); Murals at the Mexican Village, Santa Rosa Fair (1974); Public Television, Channel 9-San Francisco (1970), Channel 22 (1980); Art Display, CAL Expo, Sacramento, CA (1986); Numerous Art Exhibitions, Sonoma State University (1975 till present)

Monday-Thursday: 7:30am - 10pm
Friday: 7:30am - 6pm
Saturday: 10am - 2pm
Parking
Short-term parking permits are $2.50 per day for non-reserved and $5.00 for reserved parking.
Parking is enforced Monday - Thursday from 7 am to 10 pm and Fridays from 7 am to 5 pm
Resident parking lots and all other parking regulations are enforced 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
