CALL FOR NOMINATIONS Phi Beta Delta’s Zeta Tau Chapter at Sonoma State University is conducting its annual call for nominations to membership.  Phi Beta Delta is an honor society that strives to promote and honor high academic achievement in international education, and study abroad is an important criterion in the selection process.  We are writing to you because you studied abroad last year, and, if your G.P.A. is within the appropriate range, you may be eligible to apply for this honor. If you are or know a junior or senior or graduate student at SSU who has completed a recognized study abroad program, who maintains a 3.2 G.P.A. undergraduate, 3.5 G.P.A. graduate, and who demonstrates a continued commitment to international education; or, if you are an international (F-1) Junior or senior or graduate student at SSU who maintains a 3.2 G.P.A. undergraduate, 3.5 G.P.A. graduate, and who demonstrates a continued commitment to international education, then you are eligible to apply for Phi Beta Delta membership. Faculty/staff/admin nominees should have a history of commitment to and involvement in international education and a minimum of 5 years' service to SSU. Should you wish to apply, please submit an application, as follows: Summarize your activities related to international education in a narrative of 200 words, making reference to your study abroad and any other relevant activities.   Please include your name, major or department, and contact information including email, phone, and mailing address.  Successful applicants should expect to attend an induction ceremony in Spring 2011.   Please submit the application to me by 12:00 noon November 15, 2010.
