WSC Book Exhibit Information
The following is information for publishers interested in participating in the book exhibit at the Western Society of Criminology Conference.
Audience?
Attendance at the WSC conference ranges from 100 to 170 participants, including university faculty, students and criminal justice practitioners. The conference provides an excellent opportunity for publishers to display materials for review by faculty and students from the western region and other parts of the country.
The WSC book exhibit is somewhat different than other book exhibits. We do not charge a fee for displaying books and materials. Also, we do not require publishers to send representatives to the conference. (Our book exhibit room is fully staffed during the day and locked at night.) However, we do ask that publishers donate the books and journals that are on exhibit. On the last day of the conference, after the last panel session is over, WSC conducts a book sale. WSC members attending the conference are given the opportunity to purchase the books and materials that have been on display. Proceeds from the book sale go toward WSC's June Morrison Student Scholarship Fund.
The Student Scholarship Fund is used exclusively for the following purposes:
How can we contribute materials?
We ask that publishers confirm their intent to participate by January 15 and provide the number of titles. Table space may be limited and will therefore be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. Confirmation and a list of titles should be sent to either:
