Our international evaluator assists prospective students with the application process, application status, evaluation of academic records and initial immigration issues. We host students from countries throughout the world and want you to know that our office is committed to serving the special needs of international applicants. Admitted & Current International Students

This office provides assistance for international students currently enrolled at SSU. The foreign student advisor provides assistance to foreign students in meeting U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service requirements concerning F-1 or J-1 visas, school transfers, employment permits, practical training, and passports. The office also provides help understanding University policies such as the registration process, payment of fees, scholarships, orientation, housing, health insurance, and tuition waivers. National Student Exchange (NSE)

Study away at one of 200 universities in America, including Puerto Rico, Guam, and US Virgin Islands, to experience a different world within the United States. NSE also offers the opportunity to study abroad through the study abroad programs of many of our NSE partner institutions. Learn more.

Sonoma State American Language Institute (Intensive English Language Program)

Learn academic, business, or conversational English quickly in a supportive and safe environment with students from many countries on the beautiful Sonoma State University campus.

Work Intern Volunteer Abroad (WIVA)

Explore the endless options for work, intern, volunteer and teach abroad. Many SSU majors also have internships requirements, an excellent opportunity to internationally enrich the SSU undergraduate education.
