Service Description
Mentors will experience a range of youth service activities. Each mentor will tutor 4 students one-on-one in the morning hours helping students improve their reading fluency and comprehension. In the afternoon hours, mentors will be placed in classrooms co-leading activities in our after school program.
Reading Tutoring Program Specialists solely tutor students one-on-one throughout the school day and in the after school program.
Commitment
- Year of Service: August 20, 2007-July 3, 2008 (minimum of 1700 hours)
- Weekly commitment: Average of 45 hours per week
