Nate Campbell

Nate Campbell is an instructor in the Communications department and academic advisor for KSUN, SSU’s on-line student run radio station. Campbell received his B.A. in COMS, and M.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies at SSU. He currently teaches the radio courses at Sonoma State that include COMS 265 Intro to Radio Broadcasting, COMS 317 Advanced radio, and COMS 385 Media Lab: KSUN
Campbell works professionally as News Director for KZST radio in Santa Rosa, Redwood Empire Stereocasters. Most recently he spent 5 years at Wine Country Radio as the Program Director and On-air DJ for Sonoma County's heritage station KRSH "The Krush" 95.9
Campbell guides students towards the right radio internships in Sonoma County and the Bay Area. Nate also enjoys overseeing the student-run staff at KSUN, modeled after a professional radio station structure.
Campbell is a Bay Area boy, born and bred, and has a deep fondness for Sonoma County. His interests include music, sports, politics, living local, wine tasting, and of course, radio! He has been teaching courses at SSU since 2000, some have included The History of Rock Music, Music MTV and the Media, and The Music of Bob Dylan.
