California Pre-Doctoral Program
Supports doctoral aspirations of CSU students who have experienced economic/educational
disadvantage.

Chancellor's Doctoral Incentive Program
Provides forgivable loans to doctoral students interested in teaching the diverse
student body of the CSU system.

Educational Opportunity Program Grant (EOPG)
Grant awarded to eligible economically and educationally disadvantaged Educational
Opportunity Program students.

Provides financial assistance for CSU graduate students who are economically/educationally
disadvantaged.

Indian Singing Ensemble

Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP)
LSAMP provides financial support to students who face or have faced social, educational,
or financial obstacles to success in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics
(STEM) disciplines.

MESA (Mathematics Engineering Science Achievement) Program
MESA is an academic program that supports educationally disadvantaged students to
attain four-year degrees in science fields.

MOSAIC (Making Our Space An Inclusive Community)
MOSAIC, an acronym for Making Our Space An Inclusive Community, explores issues of
diversity and social justice. MOSAIC is a living and learning community intentionally
focused on getting students, faculty and staff fully collaborating and engaged in
their community and the world around them in new innovative ways.

Multilingual Learners Program
Multilingual Learners is a TRiO program designed to offer further instructional support
to students whose first language is something other than English, or students who
learned English at the same time as another language.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Undergraduate Scholarship Program (UGSP)
Offers competitive scholarships to students from disadvantaged backgrounds who are committed to careers in biomedical, behavioral, and social science health-related research.
National Student Exchange
Provides opportunities for undergraduates to study for up to one calendar year at
another U.S. or Canadian college.

NoGAP/McNair Scholars Program
The NoGAP Program at SSU helps 25 undergraduate students per year continue their postsecondary
studies in graduate school. The main purpose of the four-year, renewable grant project
is to place more historically underrepresented students in American graduate schools.

Northern California Forum on Diversity in Graduate Education
Annual all day event offering workshops, panel discussions, and a grad school recruiting
fair, targeting but not limited to students from underrepresented groups.

PreCollege Programs
Provides advising, tutoring, classes, field trips, career planning, and assistance
with financial aid and college admission to low-income and/or first-generation college
families.

Funds student projects and initiatives that address social justice issues on campus.

Safe Zone Program
Supports the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, and Questioning community at SSU by identifying,
educating and supporting faculty, staff and students who will be allies of students,
staff and faculty who identify as LGBTQ.

Sonoma State American Language Institute (SSALI)
For international students to study English, and for students who wish to teach English as a second language.
Study Abroad
Overseas study program that enables students to pursue academic studies abroad.
