How to Apply to the Single Subject Credential Program

We encourage applicants to the Single Subject Credential Program to:
- read through the complete Basic Program and Structure Description
- attend an Information Workshop to learn about the program and the application process. Bring your questions to the meeting. Attendance is free, and no reservation is necessary. Single Subject Credential Program Information Workshops take place on the second Monday of the month (except on holidays) Check the worshop schedule for date and location information.

Admissions Process
All Credential and Masters Degree Applicants Must Apply to BOTH SSU and the Specific School of Education Program:
- You must apply to the Sonoma State University as a graduate/post baccalaureate student in order to be admitted to a Credential or Masters program in the School of Education.
- For Spring 2014 admission, download this form, print and complete all the information required.
- Return the SSU application to the School of Education with your School of Education Credential or Master's program application materials
- Don't forget to include a check or money order application fee payment of $55 made out to SSU.
- Download the Single Subject Credential Program Application (PDF), and closely follow all step-by-step instructions in that document.

Interested in Taking Prerequisite Courses?
For candidates planning to apply to the Multiple Subject or Single Subject Credential Program for Fall 2014, you may be able to enroll in Spring prereq courses. For information, contact us at 707-664-2832 or email credentials.office@sonoma.edu.
Prerequisite Course Enrollment Spring 2014
Apply to SSU as a Graduate Student:
- For Spring 2014 admission, download this form, print and complete all the information required.
- Mention that you are interested in taking pre-requisite courses for the credential program on the Statement of Purpose on the application.
- Send “OFFICIAL” transcripts from every institution you mention on your application to Admissions and Records to complete the application process.
- Return the SSU application to the School of Education in person or by mail.
- Don't forget to include a check or money order application fee payment of $55 made out to SSU.

Spring 2014 ADMISSIONS
Now accepting applications for Spring 2014 admission for credential and graduate programs.
The EXTENDED Application Period for basic credential programs for Spring 2014 admission is September 16 - October 15, 2013. ONLY COMPLETE application packets will be accepted during the extended period.
The Priority Application Period for Spring admission was July 1, 2013 - September 15, 2013.
Application deadline for Master's and Advanced Credentials for Spring 2014 is November 1, 2013. Check the application download page for the latest information.
