Biography
Jessica is an Assistant Professor in the Curriculum Studies and Secondary Education department in the School of Education. She studies how secondary schools integrate multimedia literacy into academic literacy learning. She has the luxury of working with both pre-service teachers in the single subject credential program and in-service teachers enrolled in a Master's program in educational technology. Jessica has taught middle school, high school and college-level students for over a decade, and has worked in and collaborated with small schools, montessori schools, public and independent schools, and charter schools. On a personal note, Jessica grew up in Sonoma and graduated from Sonoma Valley High School. Her mother graduated from SSU in 1990 with a degree in computer science.
