Training
The following is a description of the training programs required for employees that may encounter certain hazards on their job. All training in this area is arranged and overseen by Environmental Health & Safety. For further assistance, please call 664-2932.
Course Descriptions
Environmental Health & Safety supports employees by offering many
training courses. The course descriptions provide information about
all of the training classes offered to staff members at Sonoma State
University. Employees must obtain their supervisor's approval before
attending any courses.
Course Schedule
Staff Training provides a course schedule,
which represents all of the classroom courses currently scheduled and available for
registration. Select a course from the schedule and register on line. EH&S will issue a confirmation and notice to your supervisor within 24 hours.
Computer Based Training
Computer Based Training (CBT) provides interactivity and scheduling
flexibility for a full range of Environmental Health and Safety topics.
Many of the CBT courses meet the mandatory refresher training requirements
established by regulatory agencies. These courses may be viewed at
any time by anyone with supervisor approval interested in increasing
their knowledge of a given topic.
Note that the pop-up blocker feature in your browser must be disabled in order to access the individual training courses. Internet Explorer: On the Tools Menu, select Pop-Up Blocker, then uncheck. Mozilla Firefox: On the Tools Menu, select Options then Content, uncheck "Block Pop-Up Windows." Macintosh Safari: On the Safari Menu, uncheck the "Block Pop-Ups" menu. As a courtesy to others, please turn pop-up blockers back on when you are finished with your session.
