Scholarships, Internships and Financial Aid
Current financial aid opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students of the Engineering Science Department are as follows:
Agilent Technologies and SSU have developed a unique Partnership Program to enhance the BSES program. Under this program, a number of $3000 per academic year scholarships is awarded to BSES students competitively. SSU offers a variety of scholarships for which the undergraduate and/or graduate students in the ES Department can apply. For information on these scholarships, visit SSU Scholarship Office website.
The industries in the region provide opportunities to undergraduate as well as graduate students to work as interns at their site and enrich their academic experience at SSU with valuable hands-on practical experience. The students are encouraged to explore these opportunities directly with the local industries. When an industry sends information on the availability of internships to the department, the information is e-mailed to all the students and also posted on the bulletin boards.
Graduate students are offered assistantship to work as a teaching assistants for faculty members or conducting laboratory sessions. They may also get an opportunity to work as research assistants, depending upon the availability of research funds. For availability of an assistantship, please contact department office.
Other Types of Financial Aid:
The students are also eligible to apply for financial aid in the form of low interest loan through the SSU Financial Aid Office and for part time employment on campus as student assistants. For information on these opportunities, visit SSU´s Financial Aid website.
