Students majoring in English or other fields may develop, in consultation with one of the Linguistics Program advisors, a 20 unit Linguistics minor.  

 

CORE COURSES: REQUIRED  (11 or 12 units)

 

* One introductory Linguistics Course (English 341: 4 units or Linguistics 200: 3 units or Span 304: 4  units)

* Core course in Linguistic Analysis  (Ling 400: 4 units)

* One methodological course (English 489* or 588* or Anth 480 or Span 400 or 490)

 

ELECTIVES:   additional elective units in courses with linguistic components selected in consultation with a program advisor, for a total of 20 units.   See reverse for options.
