Admitted to SSU
If you indicated an interest in the Education Opportunity Program when you submitted your CSU application, the SSU system will advise you to contact the EOP Office before accepting your admission. This is because deposits are reduced for applicants accepted to EOP.
|Fee Type||EOP Student Amount||Non-EOP Student Amount|
|Enrollment Reservation Deposit||$50||$200|
|Freshman Orientation Fee **||$0||$255|
** EOP freshman admits attend the mandatory EOP Summer Bridge Program instead of the SSU Orientation. There is no fee for the Summer Bridge Program.
We will begin notifying applicants of their acceptance to EOP in March. If you are accepted into EOP we will mail you forms you will use to pay the reduced ERD and reduced Housing deposit. The timing of our decision depends on the receipt of your EOP application and both of your letters of recommendation.
If you have not already done so, it is extremely important for you to submit your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid-www.fafsa.ed.gov) or California Dream Act Application. We cannot make a decision on your EOP eligibility until the SSU Financial Aid Office reviews your FAFSA or CA Dream Application. To submit your FAFSA or CA Dream Application as soon as possible, you can use estimates of family income based on 2012 and then update with accurate 2013 information later.
You will need to decide if you want to wait for a final decision about your EOP eligibility before you accept your admittance to Sonoma State University. There are 3 main areas to consider.
- SSU Admission - The deadline to pay your Enrollment Reservation Deposit (ERD) is May 1, 2014.
- On-Campus Housing Availability - For information regarding on-campus housing availability please contact the SSU Housing Office at email@example.com or 707-664-2541.
- SSU Mandatory Orientation (NOT attended by students accepted into EOP) - For information about the number of open seats remaining in the freshman Orientation sessions please contact the SSU Orientation Office at firstname.lastname@example.org or 707-664-4464.
