Application Process
A completed SSU Employment Application (doc) is required for each desired position. If you do not have a printer, you may request that an application be mailed to you by calling (707) 664-2166.
A resume may be submitted in addition to the application. Please be aware that any resume submitted without a completed application will not be considered. Materials submitted with your application will not be returned.
To ensure that you are considered for the position to which you are applying, please submit your application before the filing deadline located on the position announcement.
If the department does not find a suitable candidate among those who applied by the filing deadline, applications received after that date will be considered.
A limited number of applicants will be selected for interviews and will be contacted directly by the hiring department. The screening process typically includes a three- to six-week review and selection period after the closing date of the position. Only those candidates selected for an interview will be notified. Please direct any inquiries regarding the status of a position to Employee Services rather than the hiring manager or department.
Depending on the nature of the position, a probationary period may be required. Employees must complete a probationary period of one to two years before obtaining permanent status.
Temporary positions are used for special projects and on-call positions, and for those funded by grants and contracts.
We accept applications for posted jobs only. We do not keep applications "on file."
