Colleague Centers
We endeavor to support the work of other centers dedicated to the principles
of environmental sustainability, particularly, as it relates to the areas
of sustainable building design, renewable energy, and energy efficiency.
Below you will find weblinks to the activites of other "sister"
centers. Creating an environmentally sustainble society requires the efforts
of all of us. Many hands make for light work.
Pacific Energy Center: The PG&E Pacific Energy Center offers educational programs, design tools, advice, and support to create energy efficient buildings and comfortable indoor environments. Most of our efforts are focused around commercial buildings, however, other departments offer advice and information for residential buildings. http://www.pge.com/pec/
Build It Green: A professional non-profit membership organization whose
mission is to promote healthy, energy and resource-efficient buildings in
California. Supported by a solid foundation of outreach and education, Build It
Green connects consumers and building professionals with the tools and technical
expertise they need to build quality green buildings. http://www.builditgreen.org/
Solar Living Institute: SLI
is dedicated to the belief that education will help bring about the
changes in consciousness and behavior necessary to create an evnironmentally
sustainble future. The Institute is a nonprofit educational organization,
headquartered at the Real Goods Solar Living Center in Hopland, California.
Classes in Strawbale Construction, Passive Solar and Ecological Design,
Beginning Photovoltaics are just a few of the classes being offered
this year. Registrations are now being taken. Click on link below to
