New Registration Procedure
The Paralegal Program has its own registration form. Registration forms available in the Extended Education office for the Paralegal Program are salmon colored. When registering for Paralegal Program classes, please make sure you use the proper registration form. If you are using the web to register, please select the Paralegal Program registration form. If you fax your registration, please be sure you are faxing the correct form. Adherence to this new policy will ensure that your registration forms will be processed correctly.

Course Planning Guidelines
The following information is provided to assist students in planning their schedules for required courses. Please note that these guidelines may be changed at any time.

  1. Civil Procedure: Pleadings and Civil Procedure: Discovery are generally offered in alternate semesters. If Pleadings is offered in the fall, Discovery will be offered in the spring, Pleadings offered in the summer, etc.
  2. Career Planning is generally offered in the fall and spring semesters. It is recommended that students take this class early in the program.
  3. The Internship: Work Experience course is generally offered every semester.
  4. Legal Ethics is offered in Fall semester only.


Factors that may influence a course's availability in a particular semester include enrollment and instructor availability. However, every effort will be made to adhere to these guidelines. If you have any questions, please email or call 707/664-2394.

Check with the Extended Education Office just prior to the first class meeting for every class, as room locations are changing. You can reach the office at 707/664-2394. When you register, be sure to use a daytime phone number where you can be reached-in case a class is cancelled, we would like to be able to reach you quickly to prevent unnecessary traveling

Late Fees Enforced
Paralegal program classes have long been subject to late fees for late registration. Students are hereby noticed that these fees will be enforced. Please plan to register by the date shown in the catalog to avoid late fees. If you have any questions, please call Joni Boucher at 664-2394.

WEPT Test Dates
To find the Written English Proficiency Test (WEPT) testing dates contact the Writing Center at 664-4401.

Parking for Saturday classes
Those attending classes on Saturdays may park in lots A & D.
PLEASE NOTE:
this is for Saturday classes ONLY!
Lots A & D require a reserved parking permit at all other times.

Sole practitioner is looking for a paralegal with experience in probate, trust administrations, preparation of estate plan documents (Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney); corporate and LLC formation and dissolution, stock issuance, and buy-sell agreements. Currently the paralegal would be the sole support staff, so this position also includes client interface (especially with elders); creating new files, filing, answering phones, setting appointments, and correspondence.
